Azure Data Engineer

Offer description
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and actively contribute to designing and developing modern solutions based on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric ecosystems. The person in this role will be a key participant in the organization's data transformation journey — from ingestion and processing through to visualization and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Data Flow: Design, build and maintain data pipelines and protocols as needed to implement and improve the company's data strategy (Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Azure Storage)
- Data Storage: Design, build and maintain best-in-class data storage solutions best suited to business requirements and all data types, whether structured, unstructured, large or small, rapid access or cold storage, including metadata, hierarchies (MS Fabric OneLake, Azure Storage, Azure SQL)
- Microsoft Fabric: Design and implement end-to-end analytical solutions within the Microsoft Fabric platform, including Lakehouse and Data Warehouse management, data orchestration using Fabric Data Factory, and Spark-based data processing via Notebooks
- Power BI: Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI integrated with Microsoft Fabric; data modeling using DAX and Power Query, deployment and governance in Power BI Service, and management of Semantic Models and Direct Lake connections
- Technology Evolution: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud-based data engineering and proactively introduce new solutions into the organization
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Pipelines), Azure Storage (ADLS) and Azure SQL
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric — including Lakehouse, Pipelines, Spark Notebooks and integration with Azure services
- Experience with Power BI — report development, data modeling (DAX), Power Query and Power BI Service deployments
- Hands-on programming skills in Python and data formats such as JSON and XML
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Openness and flexibility to learn, adopt and adapt to new technologies
- Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (preferable)
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) or Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certification will be an additional asset
